Fact 255: Who founded the Natural Trust?




The National Trust was founded by three people, Octavia Hill, Robert Hunter and Hardwicke Rawnsley in 1895, they set up the National Trust to protect natural and historic places and houses.
The Natural Trust owns 500 historic properties and 500 gardens and nature reserves in UK. 
The the National Trust owns over 780 miles of coastline in the Uk.
The National Trust helps to protect Red squirrels in the UK.
