Fact 219: Who is the Hyloscirtus Princecherlesi named after?

The Hyloscirtus Princecherlesi is named after king charles III the frog is very rare and can be found in forests in Ecuador the frog is commonly called Prince Charles stream tree frog. The frog is so rare it is classified as an endangered species due to climate change and loss of habit (because of deformation) and pythons.

The frog was discovered in 2008 by Dr. Luis A. Coloma, Dr. Luis A. Coloma disided to name it after the the Prince Charles named in June 2012.
