Derwent Water has an average depth of 18 feet 1 inch and a maximum depth of 72 feet and has 4 islands and 9 small islands in total Derwent Water has 13 islands.

Agatha Christie had a conversation with an MI5 agent\code breaker Dilly Knox who happened to be one of her friends who worked at Bletchley Park all about her knowledge about code breaking because of what was happening at Bletchley Park.
