Fact 351: Who built Hadrian's wall?

Hadrain's wall was built by the Roman army, who were (unsurprisingly) ordered by the emperor Hadrian following his visit to Britain in AD 122, in AD 122 the wall was 73 miles (80 Roman miles) long, it length stretched from northern Britain at Wallsend on the River Tyne in the east all the way to Bowness-on-Solway in the west.
It was originally built as a border to keep out the Scott's.
