Fact 333: When did Banksy first paint sweep it under the carpet?


Banksy's Sweep it Under the Carpet first appeared on a wall on Chalk Farm Road, North London in 2006.
Banksy created the piece using a stencil.
Banksy said the maid was of a real maid who he met in L.A, Banksy literally said “This is a portrait of a maid called Leanne who cleaned my room in a Los Angeles motel." Although in the Banksy story (which is a bbc podcast) Steph Warren, who worked for banksy from 2004 to 2007 said she posed for Banksy to create the piece.
