Fact 216: When did William the Conqueror build the Tower London?


The Tower of London was built from 1066 and finished in 1087 the Tower of London was built by William the Conqueror originally built the massive stone castle\ fortress in London to defend against the possibility of a rebellion and as a demonstration of the Normans and William's power because after winning the battle of Hastings in 1066 William thought people might start a revolution in London.
