Fact 192: What Shape was Shakespeare's Globe Theatre?

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre was 30 metres in diameter and had 20 sides which gave the illusion it was a circle. A 20 side "2d" shape is called an icosagon (icosagon polygon) which is also commonly called a 20-sided polygon.
Shakespeare's Globe was 11 m tall.
