It is a breed of dog from the uk developed by Edwina Harrison during the 1980s, Edwina was probably trying to create a friendly wolf-like a non working dog pet.
Edwina Harrison using a Siberian Husky, an Alaskan Malamute, a German Shepherd, and five other rescue dogs or unknown origin to create the Utonagan dog breed. 
The name Utonagans is is Native American for "Spirit of the wolf".
