Fact 69: Has the river Thames ever frozen over?

The short answer is yes basically between 1600-1814 the river froze over a multiple times however we don't exactly know how many times, however what we do know is that this was not unusual for the River Thames to freeze over for up to two months at a time in 1600-1814 . It was so cold it was nicknamed the, Little Ice Age.
