The 16th-century farmer and English poet Thomas Tusser (1524 – 3 May 1580) wrote down that by 1573 Turkeys were commonly served in England for Christmas dinner. Queen Victoria played a massive part in keeping the tradition of eating Turkeys at Christmas going to day by reopening training with America (USA) this made Turkeys more popular because there were again more of them. Edward VII also popularised eating Turkeys at Christmas dinner and made it fashionable.
