Fact 58: What day do the Royal family open their Christmas presents on?

 

This may surprise you to know that the Royal family open their Christmas present on the 24th of December because it is a tradition introduced by Prince Albert (they also do it to honor Prince Albert) because he was German and opening presents on the 24th of December is a German tradition. This tradition only started in the Victorian era the Royal family started doing it in 1841(on the 24th December) soon after Prince Albert and Queen Victoria got married.
